WOW IT HAS BEEN A LONG TIME

It has been a long time since I have had time to sit and time to blog. We have really enjoyed our month long family camp with my sister from AZ in town. We continually have swapped kids from Grandma's house to mine since June 28th. Just a recap we have 4 girls (2&2) between the 2 of us that are the same age ranging from 13 to 9 and each have a boy ages 6&7 (they are six months apart) with another boy cousin age 8. They all get along better than siblings do and have had a great time together. So now this week reality will bite them in the butt and life will have to return to normal. Chores in the morning, sleeping in their own beds at night with a bed time enforced, and actually having to participate within a family unit. Poor kids!!!!

Kids Are Awesome, I'll Brag About KAC 1st

Just when life throws you a curve ball that you think you can't handle you just need to take a moment to watch a child and things seem to be better. What has made me get all sappy? Nothing, really nothing at all.

I watch my kids and KA (11) is so darn caring for all three of the younger kids, KJ (9), SJ (6), and especially JP (3). She allows littlest bro, JP to help her cook heaven knows she didi not get that from me. She continually helps SJ with his chores so he can still get his allowance at the end of the week. How sweet she is to 'lil brother. She is KJ's, the 'lil sis, best friend REALLY!

She would cry if one of them was truly sad or hurt and actually try to make things better. She can babysit for them and the house is usually more clean than when I left it. She feels things with all her heart and laughs at all of her dad's dumb jokes! She wants to win at any competition but will do her best to involve every player no matter what the skill level of that person is; even if it could mean possible failure.

I just pray that she is always the gently soul she is now! That she continues to grow in her faith in GOD and continues to use that faith to guide her path through adolescence. That she is forever friendly to those who may not have many friends. That she continues to love her father and sees him as the greatest man to walk the earth since Jesus Christ. That she continues to see failure as something unacceptable but knows in her heart that sometimes it is inevitable. That she always loves our simple country life and feels comforted by it; even if she chooses to live in a city like New York! That she continues to see herself as a beautiful young lady inside and out! That most of all I get to see her be a woman, wife and mother because she will be GREAT AT THAT!!!

LOVE YOU, PROUD OF YOU, KAC NEVER DOUBT IT!!!!!

I SURVIVED

Thank Goodness it is OVER!! My root canal today went very smoothly. I got an "A+++" for allowing Dr. Jungman enough room to get at my very back upper left molar. I will talk more about the procedure later. Basically I wanted the damn thing done ASAP so I kept my mouth opened for almost 45 minutes straight. Not sure if that is really something to be proud of!?!?!?!!?? Guess all the yapping with my gal pals has finally paid off. I am sure some of you just want to make comments so let me have them.

Family, Lots of It

Currently, for the past week and for 3 more weeks my sis, Bridget, and family from AZ is in town. It really has been great. She has two daughters AJ (13), OE (10), and son IJ (7). They all happen to be on year older than my 3 oldest kids so needless to say they have a great time.

She also stayed for month last year. My kids and her kids wanted to spend total time together. This meant it was like I was on vacation for a month too and boy did my home feel like it. This year I told my kids that there would be days that we would not be going to Grandma and Grandpa's house to hang out and days that I may just drop them off. So far I have stuck to my guns and it has paid off for everyone. Not as much sleep deprevation for any of the kids and my house is just a normal mess not the ignored mess it was last year.

I will try to post some pics as I take them of the kids.

Dental Update

It figures I am going to DM on Thursday morning to have a root canal done on tooth number 15.  Why am I going to DM for this and not having it done at the home town dentist?  Because it has started to calcify around the root and it takes a little more to actually get the root canal done!  GREAT!!!!~ Still love Dr.G but this is not how I planned to spend my Thursday.  Luckily the endodontics is right next to the MALL!

Darn, I was doin' soooo well!

Since only two of you read this I will take a moment to say thanks and I will try yet again to get back on the blogging trail.

What to say...? Dental works sucks! Sorry KP if you read it but my damned tooth hurts. Went in for a crown on my upper left back molar, Monday. DR. G is great!! all the drilling and such didn't feel a thing. Tuesday felt good, Wednesday still good, Thursday no problem, then...,

Flippin' Thursday night/early Friday morning I wake up and have to take some ADVIL, great stuff. Haven't been off of that stuff or Tylenol, another great OTC drug for pain since! So I will be calling ASAP in the AM to my buddy KP to see what they can do. I know it will be a root canal great!!!

Damn kids take all the good stuff from my teeth for themselves at birth. I AM 100% POSITIVE THAT WOMEN GET THE DIRECT LINE TO HEAVEN AND MEN HAVE TO STEP ASIDE EVERYTIME ONE OF US JOIN THEM!!! Because it is just hell on earth sometimes with all of the sacrifices we make day after day!

Now that the drugs are kicking in I am going to bed!!

You did not just say that...,

Yes, I did just say to my 3 year old, "If you don't listen to Mom I am going to get a job and you can go to the sitters eveyday!" Luckily, it worked for me. He loves his babysitter Laurie, but he likes running the house here too. He goes to Laurie's 2 days per week to play with the other kids and to learn how to be good to younger kids.

I know some of you may be saying, will he really learn that at a daycare? Why yes he will, with Laurie. You know the movie where I believe Robert Redford is the "horse whisperer" and he can "talk to horses" and calm them down and make them behave even when many can't. Well, in my house we call Laurie the "BABY WHISPERER". She can take a group of 7 kids 3 and under and get them to behave without really raising her voice. JPC, no not GPC the cigarette, JPC my youngest boy, is a holy terror for me and doesn't want to pick up and at one time didn't want to use the pottie for me either. Well somehow, Laurie got him to use the pottie at her house, she manages to have all the toys picked up by the kids for rest time, they all rest at the same time, and then has everyone changed or using the pottie by the 4:00 pick up time. I can't keep my house clean with JPC the only one there let alone clean, and I mean immaculate like Laurie can. I envy her and respect her and thank GOD everyday that I found her to watch my kids when I substitute at the local schools. She really is the babysitter from Heaven.
